Small Planet Works coaches team leaders and team members to resolve problems, improve team dynamics and increase team productivity. We help teams improve effectiveness – doing the right thing – and efficiency – doing the right thing right.

Teams experience distinct phases of development; each of which must be acknowledged, monitored and capitalized upon to move to the next performance level. Small Planet Works will assist your organization to maximize opportunities presented in each phase by focusing on the four distinct phases of team development:

  • Storming
  • Performing

Organizational learning and continuous training are key elements in our approach. We deliver workshops that assist teams to maximize the potential of individual contributors, deliver consistent results and measure performance.

  • Common problems in stages of development
  • Group dynamics
  • Conflict between teams

  • Key issues/questions in each development stage
  • Empowerment

In addition to assisting new teams to achieve high performance, Small Planet Works provides coaching and consulting for existing teams. To do this, we interview the team leader, various team members, and sometimes those with whom teams work, to determine the following:

  • Stages of team development
  • Existing relations between team member
  • Results of past relationships and experiences
  • Group and organizational politics
  • Evaluating team mission
  • Myers-Briggs personalities within the team
  • Existing problems and conflicts

With this information, Small Planet Works is able to coach the team leader and members of the team to resolve conflicts, improve team dynamics and increase productivity.
